# Set the tenant's data policy

> Requires `onboarding_admin` + CSRF. Validates `residency` (`US`, `EU`, or `APAC`) and `retention` (`5 years`, `7 years`, or `10 years`); 422 on any other value. Stored the same way as `training_config` -- merged into `settings.key_values` (tenant schema) -- for the onboarding wizard's "Data & PII" step.
