# Get the current staff identity

> Requires a valid `cl_admin_session` cookie; returns 401 if it is missing, expired, or revoked. Returns the authenticated employee's id, email, full name, and control role (`onboarding_admin` or `support_readonly`) -- the value the frontend uses to gate mutating staff UI.
